1. What we collect
When you create an account we collect your email address and a hashed password (or a token from your social sign-in provider). When you use the Service we process audio you record, the resulting transcripts, the suggestions you generate, and metadata about each session (duration, timestamps, counts).
2. How we use it
We use your data to deliver and improve the Service: producing live transcripts and AI suggestions, tracking your usage so we can bill plans correctly, sending you account-related emails, and diagnosing crashes.
3. Service providers
We rely on a few processors to run the Service: a managed Postgres database and authentication backend, a speech-to-text engine for live transcription, a large-language-model provider for suggestions, a payments processor on desktop, and the App Store / Google Play purchasing systems on mobile. We share only what each provider needs.
4. Retention
We keep your sessions and account data as long as your account is active. When you delete your account from the in-app settings we delete your personal data within 30 days, except records we are legally required to retain (e.g. tax invoicing).
5. Your rights
You may access, correct, export, or delete your data at any time. The fastest way is the in-app "Delete account" flow. For other requests email hello@askniqo.com.
6. Children
The Service is not directed at children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
7. Security
We use TLS for data in transit and encryption at rest where our processors support it. No system is perfectly secure — we encourage you to use a strong unique password and enable two-factor authentication on your sign-in provider.
8. International transfers
Some of our processors are based outside the EU. Where the law requires it we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. We'll show the new effective date at the top of this page; material changes will be highlighted in-app.
